Hartland Wellness Center Unveils Its Transformed Dining Experience

There is something deeply restorative about a place where beauty, simplicity, and purpose meet, and the Hartland Wellness Center’s newly renovated dining area captures that harmony with remarkable clarity.  With its elegant grey-and-white design, the refreshed meal center now offers guests not only nourishment for the body, but a setting that uplifts the mind and spirit.

From the moment one enters, the transformation is unmistakable. The updated space reflects thoughtful intention: clean lines, calming tones, and a welcoming atmosphere that invites rest and reflection.  Guests and staff alike have remarked on the peaceful ambiance, noting how the environment itself seems to encourage gratitude and mindful eating, an experience aligned with the biblical principle, “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31).

A highlight of the renovation is the introduction of a therapeutic tea station that targets chronic lifestyle diseases, an addition that reflects the Wellness Center’s commitment to individualized care. Guests who prefer a lighter evening option may now choose to replace the traditional dinner meal with a soothing tea experience. This feature not only supports physical health, but also fosters moments of quiet restoration at the close of the day. As inspired counsel reminds us, “As inspired counsel reminds us, “Pure air, sunlight, abstemiousness, rest, exercise, proper diet, the use of water, and trust in divine power—these are the true remedies.” The tea station stands as a practical expression of these principles in daily life.

This transformation would not have been possible without the dedicated efforts of Mrs. Ivonne Restrepo, Hartland College Advancement Vice President and Wellness Center Consultant. Through her initiative and outreach, funding was secured to provide the new dining furniture, completing the vision for a space that is both functional and beautiful. Her work exemplifies the spirit of service described in Scripture: “Let all things be done decently and in order” (1 Corinthians 14:40).

Beyond aesthetics, the renovated dining area serves a higher purpose. It is a place where guests gather not only to eat, but to heal physically, emotionally, and spiritually. The Spirit of Prophecy reminds us that “the surroundings of the home should be kept neat and attractive,” for such environments exert a quiet but powerful influence on well-being. In this renewed space, that counsel has been thoughtfully realized.

As the Hartland Wellness Center continues its mission of restoring health and renewing lives, the new dining area stands as a testament to what can be accomplished when faith, vision, and practical effort come together. It is more than a renovation; it is an invitation to experience healing in an atmosphere designed with care, intention, and a higher purpose in mind.
